Loma is a land where everyone has magical abilities, but it isn’t considered special. Not only do people have magic, but so do many of the plants and animals.
The Wind family lives in a country called The Cragwoods. The country is covered with wild forests, steep mountains, and an almost overwhelming number of dangerous animals. Their village is called Westvale. It’s deep in the forest, and people have built treehouses and raised paths through the huge trees. Their whole community is in the trees.
Follow the adventures of Caes Wind and others as they deal with adulthood, choosing an occupation, magic, and tragedy. The Wind series is Gary Halleen’s first set of fiction books.

What is next in the Wind series?
Book 1 is called Wind and the Rocs. This novel follows Caes Wind as he deals with a family tragedy, and later finds himself lost in the wilds of the Cragwoods, as he tries to find his way home.
Book 2 is called Wind and Magic, and follows Caes as he discovers more of his abilities and learns his role in Westvale. Wind and Magic is available now on Amazon.com.
These will eventually be followed by a third book, tentatively titled Wind and War.
In the meantime, a prequel novel called The First Wind is nearing completion. This story follows the history of the Wind family and the beginnings of roc Riders.
